We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, clinical reasoning, academic assessment design, question authoring, and structured medical content review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on high-quality health and medicine assessment development, multiple-choice question writing, academic content verification, reference solution review, and rigorous clinical or biomedical reasoning evaluation. Selected professionals will apply their medical or health science expertise to author, review, and validate challenging assessment materials across core health and medicine domains.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Medical & Health Science Question Authoring

  • Create original, challenging multiple-choice questions across health, medicine, biomedical science, public health, and related domains
  • Design questions that test deep conceptual understanding, clinical reasoning, biomedical interpretation, and applied health knowledge
  • Ensure each question is precise, self-contained, unambiguous, and answerable based on the information provided
  • Develop plausible answer choices that challenge advanced learners and expert reviewers
Clinical Reasoning, Solution Writing & Difficulty Calibration
  • Write clear reference solutions in structured markdown format
  • Rate question difficulty across levels such as introductory undergraduate, advanced undergraduate, or postgraduate-level expertise
  • Provide academic references from reputable sources such as peer-reviewed journals, clinical guidelines, university materials, or recognized medical resources
  • Ensure solutions are accurate, concise, clinically or scientifically sound, and aligned with the intended medical concept
Question Verification & Academic Review
  • Review pre-written health and medicine questions for accuracy, clarity, rigor, completeness, and solvability
  • Flag issues involving ambiguity, missing clinical context, weak distractors, unclear wording, or incorrect answer logic
  • Edit questions where needed and document the rationale for changes
  • Maintain high standards for medical accuracy, academic quality, and assessment reliability
Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:
  • Advanced expertise in medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, clinical specialties, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, epidemiology, medical genetics, infectious disease, immunology, pharmacology, pathology, physical therapy, or related health fields
  • Strong command of graduate-level medical knowledge, clinical reasoning, biomedical research methods, and evidence-based interpretation
  • Experience authoring, reviewing, teaching, grading, or verifying academic or clinical assessment content
  • Ability to express complex health and medical concepts clearly and concisely in written English
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle clinical, scientific, or methodological issues
  • Comfort working independently on asynchronous academic review tasks
Educational Background
  • MD, DO, PhD, or doctoral candidacy in medicine, biomedical sciences, public health, or a closely related field is highly relevant
  • Master's degree may be suitable for candidates with exceptional depth in a specific health or medicine subdomain
  • Equivalent experience in clinical practice, biomedical research, teaching, academic writing, assessment design, or scholarly review may also be valuable
