Senior ServiceNow Administrator (Remote)

Resp & Qualifications

PURPOSE:

Performs the day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform across various environments. Maintains the stability and usability of the platform, manages support for incidents, and manages upgrade planning and execution. Oversees the security of the ServiceNow platform, creating and enforcing security standards throughout the platform. Supports application delivery through managing ServiceNow application deployments across various environments. Confer with appropriate managers regarding problems with and capabilities of ServiceNow instances.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Delivery: Supports the development teams application development. Administers ServiceNow environments that support development.
  • System Maintenance: Independently maintain and install ServiceNow environments. Supports projects from an application level by performing account administration, instance backups, and instance upgrades.
  • System Implementation: Independently implement complex technical system design changes.
  • Procedural: Updates and maintains operations manuals, inventories, and written procedures relative to installing, maintaining, and using the ServiceNow platform.
  • Technology Consulting: Leads problem resolution and coordination with Level 2 support. Performs integration of component level system into solutions and documented/directed by Lead/Expert Engineer(s).
  • Research and Development: Research new technologies to benefit the business. Works with Lead/Expert Engineer(s) to develop recommendations and provide implementation support. Displays and utilizes business knowledge.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Position does not have direct reports but is expected to assist in guiding and mentoring less experienced staff. May lead a team of matrixed resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related field OR in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required in addition to the required work experience.

Experience: 5 years' Experience perform full data management duties, including migration and continuous integration/delivery.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator, Certified Implementation Specialist or Certified ServiceNow Application Developer (current certification number required)
  • Advanced ServiceNow skills such as workflow development and custom application development is nice to have
  • Perform user account administration and governance, including group maintenance, user roles and process user license tracking, and monitoring of SSO providers
  • Ability to create and configure business rules, UI policies, UI actions, client scripts, and ACLs
  • Provides analysis of problems while working toward solutions to technical issues
  • Actively manages the life cycle of the platform and upgrades
  • Document platform architecture and processes
  • Use SCRUM/Agile development methodologies
  • Programming experience with server-side and client-side JavaScript, AJAX, JSON and XML, preferably within ServiceNow (business rules, script includes, client scripts, transform map scripts, etc.)
  • Configuration/Customization of the ServiceNow platform including branding and out-of-box application manipulation
  • Work with development team to migrate data and updates into the system integration, performance, UAT and production environments
  • Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application and understand QRadar
  • Have intermediate level of familiarity or exposure with the ServiceNow Agent Workspace application
  • Ability to provide after-hours support for higher level environment deployments

  • System Administration experience with ServiceNow
  • Architect experience with ServiceNow
  • Development experience with ServiceNow
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow MID Server and LDAP
  • Knowledge of web technologies (server & client side JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, XML, micro services, APIM)
  • Strong experience with Deployment/Continuous Integration/ Continuous Testing/ Continuous Delivery processes and tools and have expertise in CI/CD tools and framework
  • Ability to communicate effectively with analysts, developers, tests, and project managers in both oral and written form.
  • Ability to work minimal supervision.
  • High-level of analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)

Salary Range: $99,000 - $196,625
