Senior Analyst - UK / IE Commercial Finance & Strategy

This position will be based in our Boston office in a hybrid capacity. Employees will work in the office 4 days per week and have the option to work remotely on Fridays.

Wayfair is looking for a highly analytical, strategically-minded individual to join the International Strategic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the strategy for revenue and margin growth in Wayfair’s UK & IE businesses. The right candidate is an analytical problem solver and a strategic thought partner, combining quantitative and technical rigor with strong business intuition.

As a key thought partner to Commercial and Finance leadership, you will provide financial visibility and guidance for making better strategic and operational decisions.

In this highly visible role, you will serve as the financial partner to Wayfair’s UK & Ireland businesses, driving planning, reporting, and analysis that directly impacts the trajectory of these geographies. The individual will partner cross-functionally with GMs, profit management, marketing, and category management. Our ideal candidate has a strong technical and analytical background, a self-starter mentality, and strong problem-solving skills.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead forecasting & planning: Own the UK & Ireland P&L forecast (revenue, GPAV margin, EBITDA, and key operational KPIs)
  • Act as strategic partner: Provide brand leadership with financial insights and recommendations to guide investment decisions and long-term strategy
  • Develop and maintain models: Build and refine models that tie commercial strategy to financial outcomes
  • Deliver reporting & insights: Create clear, cohesive analyses and reporting for senior leadership, translating model results into actionable takeaways
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with marketing, pricing, category management, and other commercial special projects teams to understand business drivers and support initiatives
  • Innovate processes: Define and refine planning and reporting processes as the business evolves and scales
  • Mentor talent: Develop and guide analysts within the Brand Finance team, setting high standards for analytical rigor and strategic thinking
What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, or an analytical field, such as economics, engineering, accounting, business, math, statistics, science, or analytics
  • 4+ years of work experience in strategic or corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, investment banking, consulting, private equity or in an analytical role
  • Expertise with Excel, including creating pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, Index/Match, SUMIFS, visualizations, and other advanced formulas
  • Proficient in SQL / GBQ
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay organized, prioritize effectively and deliver in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to drive complex projects to completion using effective project management, communication, and influence; strong ownership of tasks, deadlines, and projects
  • Persuasive communication skills to summarize and clearly articulate complex concepts, including effectively convey insights from analyses to senior leaders
  • Proven strategic, creative and critical thinking skills
