Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a meticulous and skilled Freelance Portuguese Text Reviewer (Revisor de Textos em Português) to ensure the highest standards of language quality across our content. The ideal candidate will have an excellent command of Portuguese grammar, style, and orthography, with the ability to refine and polish texts for clarity, coherence, and accuracy. Key Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly review and proofread Portuguese texts to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and syntax errors.

  • Ensure consistency in style and tone aligned with Progressive Technologys standards and client requirements.

  • Verify factual accuracy and coherence of text content where applicable.

  • Collaborate with content creators and translators to clarify and improve text quality.

  • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions to improve readability and engagement.

  • Maintain deadlines and manage multiple assignments efficiently.

  • Adapt editing style according to the type of text, whether technical, marketing, or general content.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Portuguese (Brazilian or European variants, depending on project).

  • Exceptional knowledge of Portuguese grammar, punctuation, and orthographic rules.

  • Proven experience in text revision, editing, or proofreading.

  • Strong attention to detail with a passion for linguistic accuracy.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.

  • Familiarity with language tools and editing software (e.g., Microsoft Word Track Changes, Grammarly, or similar).
