[Remote] Project Manager I - Client Implementations

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Project Manager I will manage small complexity projects, ensuring successful execution through all phases while serving as the main communication point between the project team and clients.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all aspects of small complexity projects which may contain a technical or software implementation component
  • Leads the successful execution of assigned projects through all project phases including Planning, Execution, Testing, Monitoring, and Close
  • Utilizes appropriate project disciplines, templates, and tools
  • Responsible for assessing the progress of the project and escalating any issues that arise
  • Accountable for successful completion of an assigned project on-time and within budget
  • Serves as a focal point for communications between the project team and our Financial Institution clients
  • Assigned small-sized projects
  • May be responsible for multiple projects
  • Has a general understanding of a business segment or function
  • Responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects assigned
  • Provides recurring project portfolio updates and project status reports on assigned projects
  • Generally, works under deadlines
  • Gathers requirements, defines project scope and deliverables, develops project plans and schedules, manages project resources, and ensures that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Leads cross-functional teams, coordinates project activities, and communicates project progress to stakeholders
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the project management methodology, templates, tools, and processes utilized by keeping up with current industry standards and practices as published by the Project Management Institute organization
  • Responsible for identifying and managing project risks, resolving issues that arise during project execution, and ensuring that project documentation is complete and up to date

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Proven ability to drive work to completion (execution ownership)
  • Evidence in generating and managing Work breakdown structures (WBS), MS Project schedules and dependencies, action items, risk, and issue tracking
  • Experience communicating with multiple stakeholder types (team members, external customers, leadership)
  • Evidence of comfort running meetings, capturing decisions, and following up on action items
  • Hands‑On experience with project management tools and tool proficiency
  • Experience with tools like: Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, Monday.com, or similar
  • Real experience with risk, issues & problem solving
  • Evidence of structured problem‑solving under pressure
  • Evidence of scenarios where they have made decisions and took action to resolve issues and mitigate risks
  • Process discipline + improvement mindset
  • Experience working within a defined delivery framework for projects such as Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid
  • Exhibits a willingness to improve processes—not just follow them blindly
  • Evidence of comfort documenting and standardizing ways of working
  • Experience in financial services, payments, data, or marketing technology environments
  • CAPM or PMP certification (or progress toward certification)
