<strong><b><b><b>Job Description Summary</b></b></b></strong><br>This Manufacturing Specialist / Propulsion Engineer develops Work Scopes for customer engines, dispositions engine hardware, and become a subject matter expert on jet propulsion for the CFM56, CF34-8, CF34-10, PP20, CT7, T700, and F110 engine programs. The position must provide a safe, high quality and cost-efficient product for our customers, while working in conjunction with other areas in the Strother Field manufacturing environment.<br><br><strong><b>Job Description</b></strong><br><br><b>Essential Responsibilities:</b><br><ul><li>Develop incoming engine work scopes that meets customer needs, adhering to contract demands</li><li>Work cross functionally with quality and design engineers to ensure that new processes achieve established metrics</li><li>Provide technical responses and recommendations to customers as well as internal business units</li><li>Support and meet production schedules and quality initiatives all within budget boundaries</li><li>Investigate hardware and work closely with design engineering to resolve hardware issues and submit Deviation Requests</li><li>Promote and build a positive working relationship with all members of the site</li><li>Mentorship with CR engineering community on manual interpretation and verification of proper procedures and conformity.</li><li>Strong communication skills</li><li>Proficient in computer skill and MS Office</li></ul><br><br><b>Qualifications/Requirements:</b><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or institution with a minimum of 10 years in manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, or technology OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 14 years in manufacturing, engineering, quality, materials, or technology</li></ul><br><br><b>Desired Characteristics:</b><br><ul><li>Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn</li><li>Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively</li><li>Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed </li><li>Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative</li><li>Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker</li><li>Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions using structured methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis (RCA), five-why, etc.</li><li>Communicate effectively with operators, peers, and management, in both written and oral manners</li><li>Ability to handle diverse activities simultaneously</li><li>Six Sigma or equivalent Quality training</li></ul><br><br>This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
