Live Chat Support Clerk

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a friendly, attentive, and professional Live Chat Support Clerk to join our guest services team. As the first point of digital contact for our guests, you will play a vital role in shaping their experience at The Pine Resort Bass Lake. You will assist guests with reservations, inquiries, resort information, and special requests through our live chat platform, ensuring every interaction reflects the warmth and excellence our resort is known for.

Key Responsibilities

Respond promptly and professionally to inbound guest inquiries via live chat Assist guests with room reservations, cabin bookings, and availability inquiries Provide detailed information about resort amenities, activities, dining options, and local attractions around Bass Lake Process reservation modifications, cancellations, and special accommodation requests Coordinate with front desk, housekeeping, and activities teams to fulfill guest needs Resolve guest concerns and complaints with empathy, patience, and efficiency Accurately document all chat interactions and update guest records in the property management system Upsell resort packages, seasonal promotions, and add-on experiences to enhance the guest stay Follow up with guests to confirm reservations and ensure satisfaction Maintain up-to-date knowledge of resort offerings, policies, local events, and seasonal activities Escalate complex guest issues to the appropriate department or supervisor as needed Support the front desk and guest services team with additional administrative tasks as required

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in hospitality, tourism, communications, or a related field is a plus 1–2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, or a chat support role preferred Excellent written communication skills with a warm, welcoming, and professional tone Strong multitasking ability with the capacity to manage multiple chat conversations simultaneously Proficiency with live chat platforms, property management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Bass Lake, the Sierra Nevada area, and local attractions is a strong advantage Passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding guest experiences Strong problem-solving skills with a guest-first mindset Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and peak season periods Bilingual skills are a welcome bonus
