Columbia Mental Health is seeking a compassionate, Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LCSW) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department in Washington, DC. As an integral member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will provide comprehensive, person-centered psychotherapy and care coordination for adults, adolescents, and families experiencing a wide range of mental health conditions.
In this role, you will conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, trauma-informed care, and other advanced therapeutic modalities. You will maintain an active caseload, provide individual, group, and family therapy as appropriate, and collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to support holistic, integrated care.
You will monitor clinical progress, regularly update treatment plans, document all services in our electronic health record system in a timely and accurate manner, and coordinate referrals to community resources and higher levels of care when needed. A key part of this position involves ongoing risk assessment and safety planning, including responding to crises, conducting suicide and violence risk assessments, and following established clinical and ethical guidelines.
