📝 Job Summary

Progressive Technology is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Java/Oracle Developer to join our dynamic IT team. This is a remote position with preference given to candidates located in or near Houston, TX. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure enterprise applications using Java and Oracle technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into high-quality software solutions that enhance performance, functionality, and user experience.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Java applications and Oracle database components.

  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to understand and document technical requirements.

  • Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices in software development.

  • Develop and optimize PL/SQL queries, procedures, packages, and triggers.

  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of applications.

  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving internal coding standards.

  • Troubleshoot application issues and provide timely resolutions.

  • Support the full software development life cycle (SDLC), including documentation.
