The Role

We're supporting a specialist consultancy delivering projects across BlackRock's Aladdin ecosystem, with a current need for contract Snowflake Data Engineers who understand the buy-side environment.

This is a hands-on delivery role, focused on building and optimising data solutions within Aladdin Data Cloud / Snowflake for global financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and optimise data pipelines within Snowflake
  • Work directly with Aladdin data models and integrations
  • Support ongoing implementation and enhancement projects
  • Translate business requirements across front office, risk, and operations into scalable data solutions
  • Contribute to data architecture and performance optimisation

Essential Experience

Must-have (non-negotiable):

  • Hands-on experience with BlackRock Aladdin
  • Strong Snowflake data engineering experience
  • Background in buy-side environments (asset management, insurance, custody)

What Will Make You Stand Out

  • Experience with Aladdin Data Cloud
  • Exposure to BlackRock's wider platform (incl. EFront)
  • Strong understanding of investment data workflows (front-to-back)
  • Prior experience on large-scale transformation or integration programmes
