Assistant System Engineer - Cyber Security

<p>Assistant System Engineer - Networks and Security Hybrid - with 1 day a week in our Canning Town office - E16 <br>Telent are currently recruiting for an Assistant Systems Engineer to join the Transport side of their business - this is a permanent positon based from our office near Canning Town, you will ideally attend the office at least 1 day a week (E16) <br>The assistant system engineer will work in a small team that supports both the projects team and maintenance team delivering works across London Underground and Network Rail systems. <br> We would be delighted to hear from you if you have the following experience: <br>- An interest in Cyber Security <br>- Looking to build on your education/studies - degree, HND - Networks <br>- Keen to build experience with producing or maintaining Cyber security processes and procedures <br>- Looking to gain experience with maintaining and configuring firewalls including Cisco and Juniper. <br>- Learning how to design, build, test and maintain network equipment, including Switches, Routers and firewalls <br>- As well as Windows Server architectures <br>Role Profile: <br>- The role will be to work with the network and security team who focus on - You will have the opportunity to build on any Cyber Security degree or education you have gained and learning about the building and maintaining, network and security systems <br>- Learning how to produce system design documentation <br>- Creating Cyber Security documentation and processes <br> <br>- The assistant system engineer will learn how to support the creation of cyber security documentation to meet customers standards <br>- You will be supported and mentored by the project team and learn how to design test and deliver network upgrades for our customers <br>Business Operations Skills - Qualifications: <br>- HND or above in an engineering/Computer discipline - ideally Networks and a keen interest to develop the skills and experience gained during your studies with a focus on Cyber Security. <br>Behavioural Requirements: <br>- You will be an effective communicator (both written and verbal) <br>- Keen to learn and develop on your education within IT/Networks/Technology <br>- Demonstrable emotional intelligence to communicate effectively and positively with customers and colleagues in a challenging environment <br>Excellent employee benefits: <br>Telent is committed to ensuring that we offer industry leading career opportunities, salary and benefits packages.
