Join us in shaping a smarter future, helping businesses Do More With Less Risk®.</p> <p>As a member of the risk engineering team, you will be responsible for the production of premium through proper risk analysis and effective distribution through our digital distribution partners. In collaboration with the Territory Managers, engineering, and operations team, you will leverage your industry knowledge and broker relationships to develop management liability and professional liability insurance products that brokers are eager to promote to their clients.</p> <p>AS AN ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE YOU WILL:</p> <ul> <li>Process and quote submissions accurately and on time: Work through a high volume of incoming management and professional liability submissions using Counterpart's digital platform, following established underwriting guidelines and procedures to generate timely, accurate quotes.</li> <li>Learn and apply ML/PL underwriting fundamentals: Build working knowledge of policy forms, coverage terms, rating procedures, and authority parameters under the guidance of senior Risk Engineers and your team lead.</li> <li>Follow up on open quotes: Actively work your quote queue.  Reaching out to brokers on pending submissions, answering straightforward inquiries, and escalating non-routine or over-authority situations to the appropriate team member.</li> <li>Support broker relationships: Engage with brokers in your assigned territory with responsiveness and professionalism, providing reliable service on routine submissions and helping reinforce Counterpart's reputation at every touchpoint.</li> <li>Capture and relay broker feedback: Surface broker reactions, questions, and market observations to your team, contributing to the information loop that helps the team improve guidelines and the quoting experience.</li> <li>Represent Counterpart in your territory: Participate in broker meetings and local industry events to build familiarity with the market and support Counterpart's visibility.</li> <li>Work toward production targets: Contribute to team premium and submission goals, tracking your individual progress and flagging obstacles to your manager.</li> <li>Leverage AI:  Use Counterpart’s Agentic AI tools to help in your daily workflows</li> </ul> <p>WE LOOK FOR TEAMMATES WHO HAVE:</p> <ul> <li>1–2 years of underwriting, insurance, or related experience, with exposure to management liability, professional liability, or specialty lines preferred but not required.</li> <li>Eagerness to learn ML/PL products: Curiosity about policy forms, coverage terms, and risk assessment, with a willingness to build technical knowledge quickly on the job.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and follow-through: Comfortable working through high-volume, process-driven workflows accurately and consistently.</li> <li>Clear, professional communication: Able to engage brokers and internal teammates with responsiveness and care, even on routine matters.</li> <li>Adaptability and coachability: Thrives in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment and responds well to feedback and direction.</li> <li>College degree or equivalent experience.</li> </ul> <p>WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH: </p> <ul> <li><strong>Tanner Hackett, CEO</strong>: Having founded two other major startups, including Button and Lazada, Tanner now spends his time focused on mental health through his philanthropy,<a href="http://openminded.org"> Openminded.org</a>, in addition to reading, surfing, yoga, and enjoying the outdoors. </li> <li><strong>Kelly North</strong>, <strong>Vice President of Revenue</strong>: Kelly leads revenue strategy at Counterpart, with a strong focus on accelerating growth through distribution, sales operations, marketing, and digital transformation. Prior to Counterpart, she served as Vice President of Business Development within the Cyber and Professional Lines Group at Tokio Marine HCC.
